Iranian opposition leader Mir Hossein Moussavi has indirectly called for new protests. On Saturday, he urged his supporters to take to the streets on the 30th anniversary of the hostage crisis in the US Embassy in Tehran. Usually, on November 4 anti-western protesters gather outside the former US Embassy in the Iranian capital. Security forces have banned the opposition from holding protests on this day. In case Moussavi’s supporters will take to the streets on Wednesday regardless of the ban, they might face new confrontations with the police. Moussavi declared on his website that he is going to continue his struggle for a political change.
